The waterfall of grief

Bereavement is what happens to you, grief is what you feel, mourning is what you do.

Bereavement is what happens to you, grief is what you feel, mourning is what you do.

Iā€™m reminded of the waterfall of grief when looking at this photo.

In this image, the River before the drop represents our life before bereavement of the life we had. For some people the waters are choppy, whereas for others they are smooth. The Waterfall of Bereavement is the shocking experience of our loss, where powerful emotions hit us alongside an overwhelming sense of sadness.

There was such calm and normalcy until the plunge into chaos. Soon things will be calm. Just know you are in chaos right now.
